Danish Big Boat Series

The results from BBC-2012 will be forwarded to other sailing series including the Danish Big Boat Series, but entry to BBC-2012 is not restricted by results and/or entry in these other sailing events.

Prescriptions for Danish Big Boat Series

1 RULES
1.1 These prescriptions shall be used as supplementary to the rules for the regatta.
1.2 The Rules are changed as follows:
- RRS A9 changed by DBBS prescription 4.
2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
This is an invitational series for big boats with valid DH or IRC rating certificate. Any eligible yacht can request an entry for the series as part of an accepted entry to one of the regattas in the series.

The Big Boat Series Selection Committee will accept interested yachts entry among yachts participating in at least two of the four regattas:

Each regatta in the series requires individual accepted entry.

Entry to the series will be in the same class and fleet as entry to the regattas.
3 MEASUREMENT
A boat is allowed to change its rating, but not its rating system, between regattas.
4 FEES
There is no entry fee to the series.
5 SCORING SERIES
A boats score shall be its score in the regattas races excluding boats not participating in the series. The series score shall be the sum of the boats score in all 4 regattas races.

When more than 13 races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the to-tal of her race scores excluding her worst score.

When more than 16 races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the to-tal of her race scores excluding her two worst score.

When more than 19 races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the to-tal of her race scores excluding her three worst score.

A boat starting in all 4 Big Boat Series Regattas can as a bonus furthermore exclude one worst score.

A boat that came to the starting area but did not start, did not finish, retired after finishing or was disqualified shall be scored points for the finishing place one more than the number of boats that came to the starting area.
A boat that did not come to the starting area shall be scored points for the finishing place one more than the number of boats starting in that regatta.
This is changing RRS A9.
6 PRIZES
Prizes will be given to best scores in each class and fleet.
